Love-Hate Relationship with Food

I had a love-hate relationship with food.  Love food but didn’t know exactly how to prepare it the right way.  Like many, I prepared food the way my parents did, which as we have learned, has a lot of health risks associated with it.  A lot of ways we eat has health risks like high blood pressure, diabetes, and strokes. In addition, I also ate a lot of fast food and processed foods which have no nutritional value.  With God’s help, I was able to look at my eating habits and see that I needed to make a change.  To understand the deep appreciation of the mind, body, and spirit connection, I studied the fundamentals that is needed for the holistic health movement that is transforming the health care industry.  My approach to health is more than the food one eats but it’s about understanding the interdependence between the human mind, body, spirit, and the natural environment.
